Pr Emmanuel Chartier-Kastler has been accredited Professor of Urology at the Department of Urology, Sorbonne Université, since 2001. He is chairman of the department of urology and head of the functional urology programme, including female and male urinary incontinence diagnosis and management, female pelvic floor disorder, urological malformations and neurourology. He is a past active member of the board of the French Association of Urology (AFU, 1998-2016), past General Secretary (2004-2007) and past Chair of the scientific committee, past member of the AFU Neurourology Committee and past president of the French speaking group of Neurourology (GENULF, 2018-2019). He was an active member of the committee for conservative treatment in the neuropathic area during the International Consultation on Incontinence (ICI) from 1998 to 2004. He has been member of the organising committee of major international (ICS 2004, Paris) and national meetings (AFU 2000- 2007), and co-chaired the 2015 IUGA in France (Nice). He is the current chair of the neurourology promotion committee of iCS (2014-2020). His activity is dedicated to research, teaching and care of patients. As a recognized neurourologie he is part to the neurourology group of Garches led by Pr P. Denys.
