Jacqueline de Jong is the Head of SOMT Pelvic Education at SOMT University of Physiotherapy. She earned her PhD by evaluating the role of involuntary pelvic floor muscle (PFM) function during intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) rise.
Her research focuses on multitask functional control of the PFM in geriatric patients with urinary incontinence (UI), and she is actively involved in clinical trials. She regularly presents at national and international conferences and leads workshops on pelvic floor rehabilitation. In addition, she has served on the physiotherapy committee and as a board member of Pelvisuisse and the Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Blasenschwäche. In clinical practice, Jacqueline specializes in the rehabilitation of patients with complex pelvic floor disorders
