Experience
Jessica graduated with her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Rockford University in Rockford, Illinois in 2006. She began her nursing career as a staff nurse on a cardiac/telemetry unit and as a wound ostomy continence nurse at Rockford Memorial Hospital, Rockford, IL. In 2015, she completed a Master of Nursing degree with a specialty focus on primary care as a family nurse practitioner at Northern Illinois University, Dekalb, IL. Her background as a nurse practitioner includes Internal Medicine at MercyHealth, Rockford, IL as well as Wound/Ostomy/Continence, and Hyperbaric Medicine at SwedishAmerican Hospital Wound and Hyperbaric Clinics, Rockford, IL. She earned a Doctoral degree in Nursing Practice in 2021 at Purdue University Global, West Lafayette, IN.
In addition to her clinical experience, she is Adjunct Faculty for the Graduate School of Nursing’s Family Nurse Practitioner program at Purdue University Global. She is currently the President of the Wound Ostomy Continence Certification Board. She is also active with the Dermatology Nurses Association and is the current Treasurer on their Board of Directors.
