Silvia Giagio is a PhD candidate in “Health, safety and green systems” at the University of Bologna, Italy.
She graduated as a physical therapist from the University of Padua in 2015 and then, in 2019, she achieved a Master’s degree in Science in Health Professions of Rehabilitation Sciences. After few years of clinical practice, she received her master’s degree in “Treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction” in 2021 at University of Milano Bicocca.
Her current research agenda is focused on musculoskeletal disorders, pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD) and on research methods, especially qualitative studies.
Silvia’s personal and clinical experience in sport and her passion concerning the pelvic floor rehabilitation has been applied to the investigation of PFD among athletes.
She also carries out clinical activity in a private clinic.
