I have been in the nursing career for twenty years. Over the years, I have set up a Female Urology Nursing Clinic for patients who suffered from fecal and urinary incontinence in my hospital. I have conducted numerous researches on different kinds of pelvic floor rehabilitation treatments (e.g. bio-feedback pelvic floor training, intra-vaginal stimulation and posterior tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS) for stress urinary incontinence and overactive bladder patients. Also, I have immense experience in dealing with post radical prostatectomy incontinence as prostate cancer prevalence has significantly increased over the past ten years in Asia. Our center has the largest number of artificial urinary sphincter implantation in Hong Kong. Another unique condition to our locality is ketamine cystitis; I have started a ketamine cystitis clinic in the hospital dealing with these young patients with incontinence. I am confident that I can contribute tremendously to the committee.
I was appointed as specialty board member of The Hong Kong Academy of Surgical Nursing since 2015 and responsible to perform vetting of certification of MCQs to develop specialty training curriculum for continence training in Hong Kong. In my working hospital, I work as the convener of urology working group in delivering urology and continence training to our nurses.
