From Surface to Safety: The VaPro Catheter Difference
Contamination of regularly contacted surfaces poses a significant risk, especially when these surfaces come into contact with patients and their catheters. The presence of microorganisms on these surfaces can lead to urinary tract infections (UTIs) among patients, compromising their health and well-being. Recognizing the gravity of this concern, the IMPACT study was initiated to evaluate the protective capabilities of VaPro catheters against microbial contamination.
The findings from the IMPACT study highlighted that VaPro catheters offer superior protection against microbial contamination compared to other catheters in the market with similar protection elements. The design and protective features used in VaPro catheters significantly reduce the risk of contamination, ensuring patient safety. Moreover, patient survey data solidified these results. A noticeable reduction in the incidence of UTIs was reported by patients using VaPro catheters vs competition.
