The latest ICS Education Committee learner assessment is now available. This covers "Are we meeting the needs of older people with nocturnal LUTS?"
Filmed at ICS 2018, this assessment covers Nocturnal LUTS in older people, which are prevalent and bothersome, however underdiagnosed. Clinicians lack confidence in how evaluating and treating the symptoms, resulting in management with catheters and briefs. As nocturnal LUTS cannot be considered benign, a more stringent diagnostic workup is needed. Increasing clinicians’ confidence will improve care. The focus of this workshop is improving diagnosis of nocturnal LUTS with a focus toward therapy.
