We are pleased to announce Eric Glen as the recipient of The Lifetime Achievement Award 2012.
Eric was one of the founding members of the ICS, and convened the first annual meeting in 1971. Following his retirement in 1985, Eric was bestowed with Honorary Membership of the society in recognition for all of his hard work in setting up and running the Society. On behalf of all of the members of the ICS we thank Eric for his service and dedication to the Society over the past 40 years.
This award is relatively new, and was established to honour an individual who has made a lifetime commitment and lasting contribution to the advancement of science, education, clinical practice or public awareness in the field of continence (including function and dysfunction of the urinary tract, bowel and pelvic floor). Candidates are nominated by an ICS member and the application is voted on by the Trustees. The award will be presented at the Annual Dinner at this year’s Annual meeting in Beijing, China.
