During the morning of 8th July 2014 the ICS office received a fraudulent email from someone impersonating a member of ICS staff; regretfully this person acquired a list of ICS names and email addresses before being discovered. We have taken this very seriously and the matter has been reported to City of London Police National Fraud Intelligence Bureau and to the provider of the fraudulent email address used to conduct the fraud.
As a precaution and to ensure that your ICS details are secure we ask that you update your password at www.ics.org/members/changepassword as soon as possible.
ICS will always contact you from an official @ics.org or @icsoffice.org address and will never ask for personal or financial details or any information that is irrelevant to our organisation. If you receive any such emails they should be flagged as spam and reported as such to your service provider. Please check that, in the unlikely event you receive unusual email traffic purporting to be from ICS that any links you receive take you to the official site. If you are unsure about any such links, we suggest using Google to search for the destination.
ICS does not store any financial information whatsoever. Any information you provide for payment is only used for that transaction and discarded – this protects you and your data.
