The Standardisation Steering Committee (SSC) is currently recruiting for new members. They are keen to receive applications from Nurses, Physiotherapist, Neurologists, Geriatricians and Colorectal surgeons.
The Standardisation Steering Committee establishes terminology and methodology in the International Continence Society's areas of activity, to underpin professional standards of clinical management and research. It has produced some of the most widely-quoted documents in the field, including the Standardisation of Terminology of Lower Urinary Tract Function and Good Urodynamic Practices.
In the modern era, the nature of professional communication and evidence-based practice is increasingly important. The Committee works to develop and support a development programme of professional Standardisation documents relating to terminology, diagnostics, clinical management and research in the areas of activity of the ICS.
The SSC are keen to recruit a range of members and would encourage applications from those with limited experience in developing standards. The Committee is able to provide training and mentoring to new members.
