Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are continuing to plan ICS 2020 with the new dates of 18-21 November 2020.
You will have now received your abstract notifications and we hope to have answered all your questions below before you accept your abstract.
We strongly believe that even in the face of an unprecedented pandemic, it is important to host the ICS annual meeting and bring together everyone involved in the research and treatment of continence-related issues, especially in our 50th meeting year. However we keep monitoring the changing global situation and will take further decisions if needed as we are acutely aware that different countries are still at different stages of the pandemic.
In the upcoming weeks we will be updating the website with new programme details and additional information.
In the meantime, we kindly ask for your patience and support, and wish you, your colleagues and families good health and resilience.
David Castro-Diaz
ICS General Secretary
On behalf of the ICS Board
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is ICS 2020 cancelled?
No. Due to the latest developments regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, we have taken the decision to postpone ICS 2020.
The new dates for the meeting are 18-21 November 2020. The meeting will take place at the same venue, the Rio Convention Centre, Las Vegas, and current registrations will be transferred to the new dates.
Will my registration still be valid if ICS 2020 is postponed?
Yes, your registration will be transferred to the new meeting dates.
What happens if I cannot travel to the meeting?
We are currently exploring options.
Shall I register now?
The early bird registration deadline has moved to 29th July. You should make your decision and review the Terms and Conditions of the cancellation policy. www.ics.org/2020/register/termsandconditions
What happens if I accept my abstract into the programme but I'm unsure at this stage if I can travel to the meeting to present?
We appreciate that many of you will remain uncertain if you can join us in November. Please accept your abstract into the programme and select a presenter so that the abstract is noted as being accepted for ICS 2020 and for those within the Presented Programme to be accepted into Neurourology and Urodynamics.
We are currently exploring options to allow for a virtual presentation for those who nearer the time are unable to travel. You can also change the presenter at a later stage, although once published in Neurourology and Urodynamics we will only be able to make the changes shown on the ICS website.
Has the 7th ICI (International Consultation on Incontinence) been postponed?
Yes, and it will now take place at ICS 2021, Melbourne. The ICI Editorial Team made the decision based on the additional impact of COVID-19 on the ability to complete the Chapters in time for November. The ICS supports this decision.
