The meeting was highly successful both in the numbers attending and in the fiscal outcome. The Chairman’s Dinner was in the Mont Réal with a commanding view over the city.
There were 6 State of Art lectures instead of the usual three.
Another innovation was to have a Hall of Fame. Session chairs were asked to select the best presentation in each session and these were gathered and exhibited in the “Hall of Fame” area located in the Foyer of the convention Centre.
The Welcome Reception was held in Windsor Station.
The Gala Dinner was at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal. Diners at each table had a different menu and cards for each course, which could be negotiated with others. Each diner then went to the appropriate food station to collect that meal. There was a superb Cirque du Soleil entertainment to follow, and of course the music and dancing.
